I was a story producer and writer for this three-part series hosted by Thomas Allen Harris. It was a unique challenge to develop a distinct visual and narrative style for our “people’s history.” We told the stories of families and places through the lens of the family photograph album. The hour-long episodes were based in Southwest Florida, Durham, North Carolina, and Detroit, Michigan. This is a 20-minute excerpt from the Southwest Florida episode.
